Acceptance, Self-Confidence, and integration

Wolves are a strong model for many of the students because they have been wiped out of heir historical range and in some areas they are making a comeback because they have been reintroduced to their former communities. While many people accept them, there are many who don’t. Those in support of wolves hope that they will re-integrate in human and non-human ecosystems. Kyle Warner drew this wolf after talking with Marc about reintroduction programs for wolves in the western United States. Many students talked about how they, too, hoped to be reintegrated within communities on the outside. The students in the class and many others, hope that the wolves will develop the self-confidence to be accepted and lo longer will be shamed and blamed for the past.
